A delegation led by Punjab Flour Mills Association Chairman Mian Ibrahim met Punjab Chief Minister, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi here on Wednesday and gave a cheque of Rs 10 million for the earthquake victims.

According to an official, out of this amount Rs 6 million have been given for President's Relief Fund, while Rs 4 million for Punjab government's "Support a Family" project. The Chief Minister appreciated the humanitarian spirit of Punjab Flour Mills Association for the relief and rehabilitation of earthquake-victims. The delegation included office-bearers of Punjab Flour Mills Association including Haji Bashir, Bilal Aslam Sufi, Majid Abdullah, Khalique Arshad, Rana Ahmed Ali, Sheikh Khalid and Sheikh Afzal.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Chief Minister has declared Jamal Hassan Munj as PML-supported candidate for the seat of Naib Nazim Gujranwala in local body elections. He made this announcement while presiding over a meeting at the Chief Minister's House.
